As readers of this site know, I live and breathe story. Our brains are wired to remember stories. They are the best tool we have to inspire employees, create loyal customers, and engage evangelists. Your story is the only thing you have that is uniquely yours.Every idea you will have in life, someone else will have thought of. There is no such thing as new and unique. So ramping up on how to tell your story is vital in helping your small business thrive.
To learn how, I am delighted to share my passion for story at Small Business Week San Francisco 2016 (#SBWSF2016) on May 21st. For those unfamiliar with #SBWSF2016, it’s a partnership formed to honor and support the more than 85,000 thousand small businesses and entrepreneurs that call San Francisco home. As part of National Small Business Week, we celebrate the contributions and achievements of small business owners by offering a series of educational and networking events designed to inspire, educate and connect the members of our business community.
And it’s free. Which is why I love to call the Bay Area my home since it creates such fertile soil for the thought seeds planted by small and mighty entrepreneurs who are willing to take the risk to reject the status quo and create something new, something powerful.
In this workshop, you will learn how to become stronger, more resourceful and more powerful than you ever thought possible using your past experiences to develop something no one can recreate: the story of you and your business. In the proverbial words of The Beatles:
There are no truly creative ideas or thoughts out in the world. They have all been known and we just iterate upon them. The only thing that separates your idea, your small business, from the rest of the pack is YOUR story. No one can touch that as it’s 100% yours.
Nervous about your storytelling abilities? Let’s fix that with a free workshop.
I would also like to express my deepest thanks to Bank of America for sponsoring this workshop.
