A story about taking an idea and making it happen
April 15, 2019
It seems everyone has their idea on how to change the world but there are countless roadblocks to make them a reality. Skorupa does a wonderful job of talking through his failures as well as his successes to show that building something is not always about the happy trail. It involves real work and perseverance. He is a natural story teller and is able to turn his experiences into a captivating narrative.
A motivating playbook for anyone with an idea or dream that wants to find a way to make it happen.
A fascinating page turner

Start Something Good is a real page turner, and I highly recommend this captivating book to anyone who is interesting in learning more about the non-profit world. Bart is a great storyteller, chronicling the rise and fall of Groundwork Opportunities, and sharing important lessons learned along the way. Jumping from farms in Uganda, to galas in San Francisco, to health clinics in Madagascar, this book is one you won’t want to put down!
A book of cross cultural adventure, wisdom, knowledge, humor and inspiration.

There are times in life when you come across a book that changes the way you look at the world and this is one of them. Start Something Good is an adventure story through familiar and foreign places. The author is inspiring, motivating, funny, engaging, and authentic. He teaches us about what it’s like to follow your dreams, listen to your heart, and take action, despite failure, ,loss, and betrayal. He shares with us the ingredients for real leadership – both corporate and non-profit – and how to make a difference no matter where we are and in any circumstances.
This is the best book I’ve read this year.
